Hot on Weibo: 7 Flimsiest Breakup Reasons

When summer-loving has run its course and it's time to part ways, you'll always remember the final words.

If you have ever been dumped with the standard "its not you, its me", take solace that it could have been worse. This week, Weibo users posted about the most "flimsy" or "baseless" reasons for breaking up.

The hashtag was "最扯分手理由有哪些" (zuì chě fēn shǒu lǐ yóu yǒu nǎ xiē), and there certainly some lame reasons.

最 (zuì): most, the __-est
扯 (chě): flimsy, baseless, absurd (as in 扯皮 or 扯淡)
分手 (fēn shǒu): break up (as in a relationship)
理由 (lǐ yóu): reason, justification
有那些 (yǒu nǎ xiē): what are the; which

7.  夏天太热了 两个人在一起更热 我们分手吧!

xià tiān tài rè le liǎng gè rén zài yī qǐ gēng rè wǒ men fēn shǒu ba

Summer is way too hot, two people together is even hotter. Lets break up!

6. 男的说：你的血型是B型，我也是B型，为了避免我们生个2B，我们还是分手吧

nán de shuō: nǐ de xiě xíng shì B xíng, wǒ yě shì B xíng, wèi le bì miǎn wǒ men shēng gè 2B, wǒ men hái shì fēn shǒu ba

The boy said: your blood type is B, I'm also B. To avoid having a BB child, we should break up.

(Note: 2B is slang for a very 笨 (bèn-dumb) person)

5.  跟你接吻老是让人家喝口水

gēn nǐ jiē wěn lǎo shì ràng rén jiā hē kǒu shuǐ

Too much saliva when kissing you

4.  我们的车牌同一天限号，不方便约会

wǒmen de jū pái tóng yī tiān xiàn hào, bù fāng biàn yuē huì

Our license plates have the same restricted number, its inconvenient to date

(Note: To control traffic in many large Chinese cities, cars with certain license plate numbers are restricted based on the day)

3. 我不喜欢你拿筷子的样子

wǒ bù xǐ huān nǐ ná kuàizi de yàngzi

I don't like the way you hold chopsticks

2. 他支持西班牙，我支持意大利，昨晚分手了！

tā zhī chí xī bān yá, wǒ zhī chí yì dà lì, zuó wǎn fēn shǒu le!

He supports Spain, I support Italy, we broke up last night!

1. 你的粉丝比我的多，我配不上你，我们还是分手吧

nǐ de fěn sī bǐ wǒ de duō, wǒ pèi bù shàng nǐ, wǒ men hái shì fēn shǒu ba

Your have more Weibo followers than I do. I can't match you, so we should just break up.
