Hey Ladies! “Handsome” Chinese Chengyus

与众不同 (yǔ zhòng bù tóng- stand out from the crowd) and say goodbye to the tired 帅哥 (shuài gē) next time you find an object of your attraction.
Inspired by chiseled and hunky, elegant and charming Olympic men gracing our television screens this summer, here are 3 great chengyu's to describe handsome or suave men.
白马王子 (bái mǎ wáng zǐ): Prince Charming
白马 (bái mǎ): White horse
王子 (wáng zǐ): Prince
Very similar to the English saying "knight in shining armor" or "prince charming", this translates as "white horse prince". Think of male Disney hearthrobs, making girls swoon with their impeccable manners, sophisticated language, and classic masculine looks. A 白马王子 is a heroic stud ready to conquer the hearts of all females in his path.

风度翩翩 (fēng dù piān piān): Charming and chic
风度 (fēng dù): Bearing, poise
翩翩 (piān piān): Elegant, graceful
Less a charming prince and more of an understated suaveness, a man described as 风度翩翩 has elegant demeanor, graceful manners, and a warm personality. The emphasis isn't on innate physical attractiveness, but rather overall disposition. This man is certainly "husband material".

Charming eyes, magnetic voice, a laugh full of warmth, this man is definitely charming and graceful.
英俊潇洒- (yīng jùn xiāo sǎ): Dashing
英俊 (yīng jùn): Talented, brilliant, handsome
潇洒 (xiāo sǎ): Chic, natural
Similar to 风度翩翩, but with emphasis on a bold and unrestrained nature. What lady can resist a man dashing and bold, naturally handsome, intelligent, and witty? Usually used to describe a man's demeanor, conversation ability, and mannerisms.

tā yǒu xìng yǒng yǒu yī wèi yīng jùn xiāo sǎ de zhàng fū hé yī gè kě ài de hái zi
She is blessed to have a dashing husband and a cute child
