In this Chinese / Mandarin lesson we will talk about 1) What is Pinyin? 2) 4 different tones Chinese has 3) Practice the pronunciation of some typical words 4) Practice reading a whole text (written in pinyin) The purpose of this lesson is getting used to reading pinyin in a correct way. This is extremely important at the first stages of the learning process, therefore we wan't be talking about the meaning or the characters of the words but only be focusing on the pronunciation.
