*Negative or abusive comments will be deleted* This is my amateur persuasive speech for Public Speaking and Rhetorical Analysis (COM180) at Pepperdine University. The speech follows the Monroe's Motivated Sequence of Design to inform and persuade my class to study Mandarin Chinese and to help build the Chinese program at Pepperdine. I hope this speech encourages you to want to learn Chinese and to see a few of the many obvious reasons why students need to study Chinese. This speech can also be used as guidance for those struggling in a speech course. While I understand all professors grade differently, this speech was one of only a couple A's given.
